Polly Wylly Cooper
After 22 years in England, Scotland and Illinois, Polly returned to Savannah, her hometown. Her husband Tim is an international businessman and they have two children and three grandchildren. She has been making pottery for 40 years and also works as a tour guide and freelance writer. She is a member of The Crabettes, a popular accordion group, still clawing their way to stardom playing their “stomach Steinways”. She lives close to Savannah at Isle of Hope on the Skidaway River.
Emmeline King Cooper
Emmeline was born in New York City to southern parents who met and married there. The King family moved to Savannah when she was five. She is a graduate of Randolph-Macon Women’s College and is married to Robert Scotland Cooper. The Coopers bought a house in the historic district, where they reared three sons. Emmeline’s hobbies are playing recorder and studying Italian. In bocca al lupo! (Sadly, Mrs. Emmeline passed away in 2009. Her creativity and wit shine on the pages of this new Savannah Safari.)
